Welcome to Xavier Place!

A true home away from home, Xavier Place offers short-term respite, for children and young people with physical disability and related health needs.

Located in Yeerongpilly, Xavier Place is a purpose-built, six-bed home designed to feel welcoming, safe and comfortable for every child.

While staying at Xavier Place, your child will be cared for by our experienced team.They will be supported to be themselves, foster a sense of belonging and have the chance to build friendships. We provide:

  • fun activities that are age-appropriate
  • overnight wake and sleep shifts for the safety of your child
  • each room has hi-lo bed & ceiling hoist
  • sensory room and indoor, outdoor relaxation and play spaces
  • Registered Nurse on-site
  • team trained by OTs & RNs
  • Day Stay between 8am and 11pm
  • dedicated creative arts program
  • emergency respite for those unexpected circumstances

4 Ortive Street, Yeerongpilly

In the heart of Yeerongpilly, Xavier Place is just 6 km from Brisbane CBD and close by two major train stations. At the entry to Yeerongpilly Green we’re close to cafes, shops and surrounded by parks and beautiful green spaces.

If you already have NDIS funding for short term respite you can use this for Xavier Place. Or talk to our team about how to request funding for short term respite from the NDIA.
